Thy Kingdom Come
For the Kingdom of God is not meat or drink but righteousness and peace in the Holy Ghost.
We are encouraged to pray for the harvest and that souls would be added to the kingdom. Jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me, forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of heaven.
In the Lord's prayer, Jesus said thy Kingdom come and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Many years ago when my daughter was barely talking and still crawling I had been struggling to raise her as a single parent.
After I had rededicated my life to the Lord I learned early on that there was no way I was going to make it without the Lord in my life. I had made a habit on praying each day early in the morning at again at noon.
My young daughter had been seeing this for a short time. I had just fed her and sent her to her room telling her to get in the bed. She went in the room, got a pillow from the bed, put it on the floor knelt down and began to sing, my soul loves Jesus repeating it several times and the crawled in the bed and went to sleep.
We can come boldly to our heavenly Father and to the throne of God, as boldly as my daughter did that day. I know that heaven rejoiced at the moment to hear the innocence of a little child pray with no thought, need or condition but coming before the father with child like faith. There was no doubt in her mind that God the Father did not hear her prayer that day and there should be no doubt in our hearts when we call on Father God in faith, saying Lord let your Kingdom come in me as it is in heaven, even so come Lord Jesus.
